Story submissions

Are you a writer with lived/living experience using drugs?
Even if you don’t consider yourself a writer or journalist, please try us out (it’s why we have editors — to help folks tell their stories).

Send your submissions to: wherestheharm.wth@gmail.com
Important: Put “story submission” in the subject line.

But before submitting, please review the following:

  • We accept submission from Vancouver, BC, other parts of BC/Canada, and anywhere else in the world — the more we know, the better.

  • Before submitting, plz familiarize yourself with our content & mandate (short & sweet, it’s a work in progress — maybe you have suggestions?).

  • Currently accepting submissions for: monthly feature articles; stories critiquing mass media narratives about drugs; personal narratives (and, yes, we are willing to cross-promote, if you have a blog or newsletter of your own); and items for our Resources section.

    • Do you have other ideas? Try us.

  • Not sure if your story idea is a good fit? Let us know in our Notes section or via Chat.

The best way to know us is to subscribe

We love our free subscribers, and (currently) all of our content is FREE. But we also encourage paid subscribers, because we believe our experience & expertise is worth paying for.

The more paid subscribers we get, the more specialized content will be available only to them (although our monthly features will always be free, some of our other content sections may change to paid). Paid subscribers will also get a say in what content they would like to see more (and less) of.

WHERE'S THE HARM is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
